About Sakana Nikkei

Japanese-Peruvian Fusion Restaurant

Sakana Nikkei is a restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It is listed at 400 SW 1st Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301, which places it among the local businesses of Fort Lauderdale that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Because this group is broad, judging a listing on freshness, turnover and how consistent recent reviews are tends to work better than judging by decor or price range alone. Most kitchens in Fort Lauderdale will adjust a dish for common dietary needs like gluten-free or vegetarian if you ask when ordering. Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Catering and food delivery businesses in Florida usually require advance notice, from a day for a small order up to a week or more for a large event, so it is worth contacting them early.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 4–11 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Sakana Nikkei at (954) 376-3857; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, sakananikkeirestaurants.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 886 reviews, which is a strong result for a restaurant in Fort Lauderdale and suggests consistent service.

Fort Lauderdale is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Fort Lauderdale is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Florida's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Our server was Dorian, he was fantastic. He was very attentive and knowledgeable, gave us great recommendations, and his demeanor was very sweet. I didn't get the atmosphere 5 stars because it was kind of loud, and the lighting was a little too dim for my taste. It was hard to see what we were eating lol. The bathrooms are unisex which is fine but someone should be a little more on top of the cleanliness since there are guys and girls using the same bathroom.. the food was amazing even if it was more on the expensive side. Seafood was very fresh

Amazing experience from start to finish. The food was outstanding, and the oysters were easily the best I’ve had anywhere in the United States so far. What really surprised me was that almost every dish came with its own unique sauce, and every single one added something special instead of just being there for presentation. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, the flavors were memorable, and the service was excellent. I’ll definitely be coming back.

From the entrance the amazing atmosphere welcomes you in with open arms and from the start of service. All was spectacular. The drinks, appetizers and specials on the menu were full of flavor and prestige. Alejandro was server and made the experience that much more memorable from the special sauces recommendations to even dessert at the end. We will be back.

I don’t even know where to start. It was my friend’s birthday and EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! Other than the delicious meals, the hot sauce made with Peruvian peppers was so good! Camilo (sorry if I spelled your name wrong, I blame the good drinks) was top tier! He was very attentive, patient, and friendly. Thank you for vibing with us! It was a party of 3 (our first time there) and we all look forward to coming back because the food and the service were so great. Normally I’m not one to write any reviews but this was the best meals I’ve had in a long time. My guests are picky and said the same thing. So THANK YOU GUYS! My compliments to the chef and our server for this amazing experience and atmosphere. Please give them a raise!

We had a good first time experience at Sakana Nikkei! The food was absolutely delicious. We tried the grilled octopus, ceviche, and lomo saltado β€” and every dish was flavorful and fresh. The decor was really nice and the restaurant is next to the water. Our server was also very friendly and attentive. Overall, a fantastic spot for great Nikkei cuisine. We’ll definitely be back!
